Our goal is to become an open lab for citizen science, where everyone can learn to integrate conservation with technology.
With a percentage of your online direct reservations, plus the tips we receive on the lodge, we have managed to buy TWO very complete camara trap stations to monitor terrestrial mammals. This stations includes solar panels, external batteries and software that sends us on real time the data from the camera. Our goal is to have TEN terrestrial stations , at least THREE on the canopy, as well as ONE live cam on the bird feeder. This Technology is expensive, for example, each of the terrestrial stations cost approximately $1000, but we consider that this information is so important to collect and share, that we are determine to reach our goal. We know we can do it, and with your help it will be easier. |
