Book nowRide through Queverí’s mountain pastures
At Finca Queverí, a working mountain cattle farm in Río Macho, Orosi, you spend 1.5 to 2 hours riding through high pastures with a farm guide. Along the way we stop at the old dairy, and on clear days the view opens toward Tapantí National Park and the volcanic range. Beginners are welcome, and we match horses to each rider’s experience. The riding guides speak Spanish; we help guests communicate throughout the experience, and the hosts can provide explanations in English. The ride includes a fresh fruit smoothie.
If you are looking for things to do in the Orosi Valley or outdoor activities in the Cartago region, this ride shows a side of the area most visitors never see: daily life on a family cattle farm high above the valley. The ride stays on the farm. It does not enter Tapantí National Park, and wildlife or clear volcano views depend on the day and the weather.
